No one ever expects to have a fire...It's rather overwhelming when it actually happen to you. I was amazed at the amount of "vultures" that started showing up on our door step (or lack there of) while the smoke was still simmering.
Accusource turned out to be our saving grace. I did not realize the liability we faced if we didn't board up the house right away and the importance of getting our clothing out of the house before the smoke smell had a chance to penetrate. Accusource was there for us during each step of our rebuilding. They worked through the night to secure the house and had all our salvageable clothing removed and cleaned. All returned with no smoke smell. I've heard horror stories of "that smell never coming out".
They worked with our insurance company pointing out items that needed to be repaired that the insurance company missed and they helped us to inventory all damaged items. It's amazing how smoke can do such damage even though the item may look OK. Accusource was there to package up all our recoverable items and their staff was always courteous and professional.
They worked with us extensively to rebuild the house and they made sure it was all done right and to our liking. Everything looked so good when they were finished, it was like moving into a brand new house! Then they helped us move out of our temporary housing and back into the house. Moving staff was fabulous. I am so impressed by the items returned from storage. They detail in cleaning was amazing. We had items that were severely damaged, but I wanted to keep because they were heirlooms, they did their best to clean them and return them without the awful smoke smell.
I am totally impressed with the whole organization and would highly recommend Accusource to anyone needing restoration work. It was so nice to have them on our side from start to finish.

On March 20, 2010 a Saturday morning about 10:00 AM, the unthinkable happened, our home caught fire.
It was well underway when the fire department arrived. I was told by my insurance company to secure the property using a company called Serv-Pro...When I heard this I knew I was in trouble: I had a prior dealing with them sometime ago and was completely dissatisfied with their service, but I called them anyway and was told "it's a Saturday and they may have a problem getting to me." This was about 12 noon. There were a number of companies around trying to convince me to use them to secure my property. Neighbors came up to me ... told me Accusource Services had handled their home after a fire and they were very satisfied with them. Accusource was at my location and I asked them to explain their process, which they did. The owner of the company seemed very sincere and... I gained a trust in him. So I told them to get started. They seemed to be well prepared. Know by this time it was about 4:00 PM. and Serv-Pro shows up with no idea of what needs to be done, so I sent them away.
I would recommend Accusource to anyone who would have to go through this. Their people on site were very helpful, and I believe went above and beyond the call. They kept in contact with us almost on a daily basis until we were settled in an apartment. They also provided us with sound advice through the entire process and even helped us in dealing with our insurance company. As a further note we decided to use them to reconstruct our entire home. They made us feel very comfortable with the entire project and in three and a half months we had a wonderful home again.
